Coffee Hour: What's Perkin' in the Parishes

The Rev. Catherine Gregg begins ministry as rector of Grace Church, St. George, in February. A farewell reception was held on Jan. 21 for the Rev. Peter Van Hook, who has been serving as interim priest there.
St. James, Midvale has a new mission statement.
The old statement read: "With grateful hearts, we celebrate God’s love in our common life as a community of faith at St. James’, and seek to extend that love to the broader community as we live through our Baptismal Covenant."
The new one reads: "Celebrating God’s love and sharing it with all."
The annual meeting of the Cathedral Church of St. Mark, Salt Lake City, was held Jan. 21, the first meeting to be held in the newly remodeled Cathedral Center.
The youth group at St. David’s, Page, Ariz., sponsored a luncheon on Epiphany Sunday and asked for donations of what parishioners would have spent for lunch that day. The funds will help sponsor their goal of spending a week doing mission work in California this summer.
St. Michael’s, Brigham City, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Services began in 1957, led by the Rev. William Hannifin at the Indian Training School.
