The Rev. James Tendick, rector of St. Francis, Moab, will be spending six months in the Diocese of Mexico.
He will expand his understanding of the Spanish language and also do some teaching at the seminary there as the Diocese of Utah begins a companionship relationship with Mexico.
St. Francis has an active Latino congregation.
The Rev. Canon Dr. Ivan Cendese, retired canon to the ordinary for the Diocese of Utah, will be serving as associate pastor at St. Francis while Tendick is in Mexico.
The Rev. Jessica Hatch is serving as part time, interim priest in charge at Ascension, Price. She is also continuing to serve as resource officer for the diocese.
The Rev. Gwyneth Murphy has begun ministry as vicar and college chaplain at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in New Paltz, NY. Formerly in the Diocese of Utah, she is married to the Rev. Dan Webster, director of media relations for the National Council of Churches.
