Note of Appreciation from Bishop Carolyn

I want to express my deep appreciation for the many ways members of the Diocese have extended their condolences on the occasion of my sister's death. Joan was my only sister, and we shared more years of our lives with each other than with anyone else. Losing her means the loss of my 'memory partner' in life, particularly in our childhood years when three of our brothers died. While the birth of two grandchildren brings its own joy to a time of sorrow, the sadness is still very deep. Thank you for your prayers, support and kindness.
