Presiding Bishop Leads Spring Weekend

Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori will lead the 2008 Spring Weekend April 18-19.

Early registration is encouraged for the event, which promises fellowship, friendship and faith for the whole family.

Jefferts Schori will meet with leaders of other religious faiths on Friday and will lead Spring Weekend sessions beginning at 1 on Friday afternoon.

She will also meet with youth and young adults (aged 13-18) on Friday evening prior to a dinner.

Friday events will be held at the Hilton Hotel.

Saturday events include the clergy and spouse breakfast, Eucharist, more sessions, lunch and House Blessing at the Episcopal Church Center of Utah and open house at the center, the new bookstore and St. Mark’s Cathedral and parish hall.

Fee for the weekend activities (including Friday dinner, breakfast and lunch on Saturday and conference sessions) is $85.

Registration fee for those aged 6-12 is $45, and there is no fee for children 5 and under.
