Cathedral Center Dedication

The new St. Mark’s Cathedral Center and Hidegarde’s Food Pantry were blessed in a June 10 service.

The center contains office space and meeting room space and will host the diocesan convention in October. Built at a cost of $4.8 million, it is adjacent to the new Episcopal Church Center housing diocesan offices and meeting facilities.

Bishop Carolyn Tanner Irish and the Very Rev. Rick Lawson, dean of the cathedral, (pictured) led the blessing service.

Lawson noted the project was made possible by cooperation between the cathedral and the diocese, which provided some of the land and Project Jubilee funding.

He noted that the project has also been supported significantly by the Cathedral of Madeline and the Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City.
