Update on Episcopal Church Center

The architects for the Episcopal Church Center have designed a lovely and spacious Center with great attention to all aesthetic details.

Recently, the interiors committee has also been at work selecting furniture, finishings, colors, fabric and art that is complimentary to the space. It is wonderful work!

Beauty has always been important in our churches and buildings. It sets a tone of dignity in places where people work everyday or visit occasionally. We have chosen carefully within our budget, and also received some special gifts.

The most dramatic of these gifts are two marble relief sculp-tures that will be set right in the walls of our hallways. They were made in Belgium in the late 1800’s.

Each depicts a biblical story— one of Jesus with the woman at the well, and the other of Mary, Joseph and the infant Jesus looking out toward Egypt.

We also hope to add Utah art and cabinets for historical items and documents. AND, of course, we look forward to receiving quilts from every congregation, and to putting nice plates with their church names on the doors of the hospitality center. Don’t get left out on this!
