Daughters of the King Chartered at Vernal
On Sunday, March 11, five women from St. Paul's, Vernal, were received as Daughters of the King, and St. Paul's new Martha and Mary Chapter of the Order was officially chartered.

Kathy Funk, Province VIII President of the Order, from Pahrump, Nev., flew to Vernal to welcome the new chapter and its charter members-- Janet Lesh, Margaret Misso, Cheryl Oldham, Tracy Schriner, Chris Webster, and the Rev. Nina Stasser.
Stasser, rector of the parish and already a member of the Order, led the new members in a three-month preparation for membership, during which they learned more about their own spiritual journeys, their baptismal ministries, their relationship with God and with each other, and the special ministry of prayer and service of the Order of the Daughters of the King.
The chapter here at St. Paul's is only the third chapter of the Order in the Diocese of Utah, and joins those at Grace Church, St. George, and Church of the Resurrection, Centerville.
One of the goals of the Martha and Mary Chapter is to invite more women of St. Paul's to share their ministries of prayer and service in the church.
