Episcopal Church Center To Go High Tech
By Willy Bautner
Visitors, employees and overnight guests using the new Episcopal Church Center (ECC) will enjoy a variety of communication tools to help them plan and conduct their meetings.

Conference Center staff will be able to schedule and reserve meeting spaces, arrange for broadcast services, and make overnight reservations— all electronically—to meet a range of needs.
The Church Center will feature cutting edge technology, from high-speed Internet (wired and wireless), and professional sound and lighting , to video- and audioconferencing capabilities.
High speed Internet access will be available throughout the new center. From connecting to WiFi in the conference rooms to using one of the computer stations in the Resource Center, visitors will be able to connect to the World Wide Web from multiple sites.
Need a videoconference with two-way interaction? The Episcopal Church Center will offer a convenient, economical way to bring together small audiences in multiple locations for meetings in which participants may not only hear, but see each other.
Other conveniences will include on-line reservation systems, and wireless microphones.
The new ECC is being constructed just west of the Cathedral Church of St. Mark in Salt Lake City.
Willy Bautner is diocesan facilities coordinator.
