The Presiding Bishop started her Friday at 8:30 being interviewed by Peggy Fletcher Stack of the Salt Lake Tribune. She tells the Tribune that we don't live separate from the world, rather we live in the world.

lunch The Presiding Bishop and her husband meet with the senior staff of the diocese over lunch at 12:00 Friday. She reflected that all who met with her in the morning were extremely gracious.

Friday at 5:00, the Presiding Bishop had a frank talk with the church's youth. She told them the need to communicate with others. She talked about not just texting kids, but talking to them face to face to understand them.

Bishop Schori, the Rev Susan Wiltsey Smith, and Bishop Irish share a laugh at a gala dinner at the Hilton honoring the Presiding Bishop. The dinner capped a long day for the Presiding Bishop, who would be up in a matter of hours for her daily run. She selected City Creek Canyon for her route.

At 10:30 Saturday, the Presiding Bishop returned to the pulpit for a public address. She reminded all that no religion encourages greed, and that we must accumulate only enough to not infringe on others.

Bishop Jefferts Schori continued her hour-long address with a comparison between religion and spirituality. She maintained religion requires community thought. Spirituality does not require such common belief. One cannot do religion by oneself.

The Very Rev. Rick Lawson presented the Presiding Bishop with a memory of Utah on behalf of the Diocese. After five hours of addressing the clergy, preaching, and speaking, it was time for lunch next door at the ECCU.

By 1:00 Saturday, a crowd had packed the ECCU waiting for Bishop Jefferts Schori and Bishop Irish to conduct the house blessing service.
