The Rev. Connie Gordon has become the Vicar of Holy Spirit Church in Randlett, Utah, in the Unitah Basin. She will serve half-time at the newly restored 120-year-old historic church. Her other half-time duty will be to continue to serve St. Paul’s in Vernal.
Her installation in a festive service marks the return of a priest to the pulpit at Holy Spirit. As detailed in the story above, the church was meeting in its parish hall while congregants passionately worked on restoring the old church building which had considerable structural damage and age-related damage.
Bishop Scott B. Hayashi installed the new Vicar and offered the message that Holy Spirit is the example of a church with a strong laity that has accomplished much.
