Feb. 2, 2007
Editor's Note: The editor travels Feb. 4-9 to Baltimore, MD as one
of 100 readers of the 2007 General Ordination Examination taken by

"We are the people who run this country. We are the
deciders. Every single day every single one of us needs to step outside
and take some action to help stop this war. We need people in the streets
banging pots and pans and demanding, 'Stop it now!' "
-- Molly
Ivins, weeks before her death from cancer on Jan. 31, 2007
Collect
for Guidance
O God, by whom the meek are guided in judgment, and light
rises up in darkness for the godly: Grant us, in all our doubts and
uncertainties, the grace to ask what you would have us do, that the
Spirit of wisdom may save us from all false choices, and that in your
light we may see light, and in your straight path may not stumble;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
