The Episcopal Church in Utah Special Election Convention May 22, 2010

Special Rules for the Election of a Bishop Diocesan to be held at St. Mark's Cathedral, Salt Lake City. The historic election will select our 11th Bishop of Utah. This is the 4th time since Utah became an indepedent diocese that we have elected a Bishop. Past elected bishops were the Rt. Rev. Otis Charles, the Rt. Rev. George Bates, and the Rt. Rev. Carolyn Tanner Irish. Prior to 1971, bishops were selected by the House of Bishops for our missionary diocese.
