A Day of Renewal,
Connection, & Faith
Join us at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Salt Lake City for Rooted in Jesus, the Episcopal Diocese of Utah’s annual gathering centered on spiritual renewal and lived discipleship.
Beginning in 2026, Rooted in Jesus will travel to a different parish each year, bringing people from across the diocese together for worship, learning, conversation, and community.
This year, St. Paul’s welcomes Episcopalians from throughout Utah—as well as anyone who is curious about the Episcopal Church—for a day of reconnecting with the heart of Christian life.

What to Expect
Throughout the day, we will pray, learn, share stories, enjoy fellowship, and gather around the Eucharistic table.
The day will include:
- Morning Prayer
- Music from the Diocesan Band
- Two workshop sessions, with four offerings to choose from
- A shared food truck lunch
- A plenary featuring real stories of faith
- Closing Eucharist
- A VBS-style program for children
Workshops
Participants will be able to choose from workshops exploring different aspects of Episcopal faith and practice:

How Episcopalians Pray
Explore the practices and rhythms of prayer that shape Episcopal life.
Contemplative Practice
Discover ways to slow down, listen, and make room for God’s presence.

Consider stewardship not simply as giving, but as a faithful response to God’s generosity.
Come as You Are
Whether you have been part of the Episcopal Church for decades or are encountering this tradition for the first time, you are welcome.
Rooted in Jesus is an opportunity to deepen your faith, ask honest questions, meet others from across the diocese, and reconnect with the practices that root us in Christ.
