Report Misconduct

Committed to Safety, Dignity, & Accountability

Understanding the Complain Process

The Diocese of Utah is committed to safety, dignity, and accountability. We hold a sacred responsibility to care for every person entrusted to our communities.

If you have knowledge of what you believe to be misconduct by a member of the clergy, The Episcopal Church provides a detailed and transparent process for responding to a complaint.

This process is defined by Title IV of the Canons of The Episcopal Church. You may begin by contacting the Intake Officer by letter, email, phone, or another form of communication. You may also ask someone else to contact the Intake Officer on your behalf. Clergy who witness or receive information about possible clergy misconduct also have a responsibility to contact an Intake Officer.
